Services

My work is limited to residential projects, including remodels, additions, and new homes. Services are tailored to the scope and needs of each project, but typically follow a clear and steady process from early planning through construction.

Project Types

Remodels and Renovations

Renovation projects range from focused interior remodels to larger, multi‑phase updates. These projects often involve working within existing conditions, resolving constraints, and improving how a home functions day to day while respecting what’s already there.

Additions

Additions may include second‑story expansions, ground‑level additions, or accessory dwelling units. This work often requires careful coordination with zoning regulations, setbacks, height limits, and structural constraints, as well as close integration with the existing house.

New Homes

New home projects begin with site evaluation and early planning before moving into design and documentation. These projects typically involve a longer timeline and close coordination with consultants, builders, and local jurisdictions.

Interior Elements

I’m often involved in the design of interior elements that are closely tied to the architecture, including kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, and interior elevations. This work focuses on layout, proportion, integration with the overall design, and coordination with construction documents, rather than standalone interior decorating.

Scope of Services

  • Services are tailored to each project but may include:

  • Site analysis and feasibility studies

  • Conceptual and schematic design

  • Design development

  • Construction drawings and specifications

  • Coordination with structural, civil, and energy consultants

  • Permit submittals and agency responses

  • Construction support and observation

How Projects Are Structured

I work directly with clients throughout the design and construction process. Depending on the project, services may be provided as full architectural services or as a defined set of phases.

Projects typically progress at a deliberate pace that allows time for decisions, coordination, and review. My role is to help manage complexity, clarify choices, and keep the process moving forward without unnecessary urgency.

Working Together

Because I remain closely involved in every project, I take on a limited number of projects at a time. This allows for continuity, attention to detail, and direct communication throughout the process.

If you’re considering a remodel, an addition, or a new home and would like to share some background, the New Project Inquiry form is the best place to begin.

Each project is different, and I’m happy to discuss what level of service makes sense.
